Lucescu has admitted that the speculation about his possible return to Italy has brought him a great deal of pride, as he told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Yes, I’ve heard the rumours, and they fill me with pride. It means that my work is appreciated: the game I play, the young players, the fact they’re here in Ukraine and we stopped the dominance of Dynamo Kiev.”

Finally, when asked about the Champions League Draw, Lucescu mentioned, “They [Juventus] can do it,” also saying: “They feel stronger, organised and above all hungry. In Buffon, Pirlo and Vucinic, the top three players complement each other perfectly.”

The Romanian went on to mention that Barcelona will defeat Paris St. Germain, and that Real Madrid will end Galatasary’s lucky run.

Lucescu has enjoyed a great deal of sucess with his current club, hoisting the UEFA Cup (now known as the European Cup) in 2009, and won six Ukranian Premier League titles over the span of roughly 9 years with the club.  This year, Shakhtar Dotnesk are on their way to another Ukranian Premier Leage title, and had a phenomenal spell in the UEFA Champions League this year, after being defeated by the in form Borussia Dortmund.
