Napoli have had a bid of €11 million turned down by Genoa for Slovakian international midfielder Juraj Kucka.

Genoa’s sporting director Rino Foschi has revealed that interest is high for Kucka, 26, and conceded that the player may leave the club at the end of the season.

He also admitted that the Grifone have already rejected a bid from Napoli.

“Kucka is a major player for us,” Foschi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Many teams want him, including sides abroad.

“I do not want to really talk about transfer rumours – now is not the time for that.

“But I can tell you that Napoli really liked the boy last year.

“It is true that they offered €11m for him. Napoli are a top club, so I cannot rule out [a deal going through].”

Kucka has made 27 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring three goals.
