AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season after all with Shakhtar Donetsk set to offer him a lucrative deal to take over there.

The Rossoneri have continually reiterated their desire to keep hold of the Scudetto-winning coach throughout the campaign despite heavy calls at one point for him to be given the sack.

Today, Corriere dello Sport are indicating that the Ukrainian club want Allegri to take over there on a bumper four-year contract that would see him earn in the region of €6m per season.

His current deal at San Siro, which expires at the end of next season, sees him currently take in roughly €2.5m each year.

Shakhtar are understood to be in favour of a new change of direction and will therefore part company with current coach (and ex Inter man) Mircea Lucescu come the season’s end.

Allegri has also been linked strongly with a move to Roma in the summer although this is something which his current employers have denied will happen.
