Lazio’s Antonio Candreva spoke out today about his teams anger and regret with the Europa League first leg match against Fenerbahce, but believes that Lazio can reach the semi-finals of the competition.

The Biancocelesti were beaten 2-0 in Turkey with a controversial penalty and seeing Eddy Onazi sent off, but Candreva has faith in his team and believes Lazio can progress.

“We played very well there, despite certain incidents and the fiery atmosphere. We believe in our chances of qualification and it is up to us to face this match in the best way possible,” said Candreva in his Press conference.

“There is anger and regret over the first leg, because we could’ve been dealing with a much better result right now.

“We are aware of our strength and believe in qualification. I haven’t scored in a long time, so I hope to break that drought tomorrow night.”

Lazio, who will be playing their second leg Europa League match behind closed doors after UEFA found the club guilty of racist chants from the fans, play on Thursday night.
