Roma and Italy star Daniele De Rossi thinks that Roma’s latest boss has proven himself enough to remain at the helm of the capital side.

Aurelio Andreazzoli replaced Zedenek Zeman in February and has guided the club up the table into a possible European spot and a Coppa Italia final against bitter rival S.S. Lazio.

Although many thought Andreazzoli to only be an Interim solution to Roma’s problems De Rossi thinks otherwise.

“I would personally confirm Andreazzoli,” the Italian international told Sky Sport Italia after the 3-2 Coppa Italia win at Inter. “No matter what happens in the Final. It would of course be important to lift the trophy, but the Coach has done an enormous job and he’d be my choice for next term. He certainly deserves to be confirmed for what he has shown, but the decision will be made by the club and not me.”

The backing by a major player will surely help Andreazzoli’s chances to remain, but in the unpredictable world of Italian football only time will tell.
