AC Milan’s Adriano Galliani has revealed that the club are ready to launch an appeal to the Lega Calcio in an attempt to have Mario Balotelli’s ban overturned.

He was hit with a three game ban meaning he will miss key games with Napoli, Juventus and Catania for insulting an official during last weekend’s draw with Fiorentina.

However, although he will still miss the coming clash against the Partenopei, the Rossoneri hope to have him back for the following two games.

Galliani discussed it quickly and also gave his thoughts on the club’s forward line: “The appeal is ready and will be submitted but I will not discuss anymore about Balotelli.

“We will be fine without him and we are not worried [for the Napoli game] and have [Stephan] El Shaarawy while [Giampaolo[ Pazzini, Robinho and Bojan are all great strikers.

“We will not be lost without Balo because if Pazzini plays, we will be confident because he is a great player.”
