Juventus defeated Napoli 2-1 AET in the second leg of the Coppa Italia Primavera final to win the tournament for the fourth time in their history.

Having drawn 1-1 in the first leg, the stakes were high in Naples and it was ultimately in extra time that Federico Mattiello’s superb strike sealed the win for the Bianconeri.

With the Old Lady needing a goal to have any chance of winning the trophy, the chance did not prevent itself until the second half when Daniele Celiento brought down Stefano Beltrame inside the penalty area and Juventus were awarded the spot-kick.

Stefano Padovan’s cool kick under pressure put them ahead by sending the goalkeeper the wrong way but the drama was not finished yet.

With just four minutes left, the Partenopei found the equaliser when Roberto Insigne’s cross was finely headed home by Soma Novothny to force extra time.

Although Vajebah Sakor hit the crossbar in the last minute of normal time for Juve, they found the goal that won the trophy in the added 30 minutes when Mattiello applied the perfect finish to his mazy dribble by driving the ball into the corner.
