Bojan - AC MilanAC Milan have apparently informed Barcelona that they won’t be signing forward Bojan on a permanent basis.

The Rossoneri opted to sign the 22-year-old on loan last season from Roma, where he was due to spend two years with the capital club.

Previous reports had claimed that Milan were interested in striking a deal with Barcelona to make his move permanent, but only if the original purchase price of €15 million was drastically slashed to €5 million.

However, according to Sky Sport 24, they have been unable to come to an agreement and hence will not be signing the Spanish international, with vice-president Adriano Galliani informing Barcelona president Sandro Rosell of the club’s decision yesterday.

Bojan, a Spanish international of partial Serbian descent, began his career with the Catalan club in 1999 and quickly emerged as a rising star within the club’s youth academy. After spending one year with the reserve team, he was promoted to the senior team in 2007, where he broke Lionel Messi’s record of being the youngest Barcelona player to feature in a match during his debut on 16 September 2007.

Despite a successful first season in which his ten league strikes set a new record for goals scored in a debut season, he found his playing time limited over his next three seasons and eventually moved on to Roma in 2011 and subsequently joined the Rossoneri on loan the following year.
