Brazilian international and former Inter star Julio Cesar will be leaving English side Queens Park Rangers after the team was relegated to the second tier of British football.
Cesar had a quality campaign this season but unfortunately it was not enough to see his team survive the Premier League.
As a result the keeper has asked for and received a transfer listing.
“I don’t see him playing here next season, so I want to play Rob Green,” QPR boss Harry Redknapp commented.
“Rob has come in and done well. Rob will probably be my goalkeeper next season.
“I think Julio is a player for a top club, a top Italian team, a top Spanish team or a top Premier League team. He is good enough to play anywhere.
“Julio is in the Brazil team. He is not a player for the Championship.
“He has got a World Cup coming up. He needs to be playing in the Premier League or a big League abroad.”
It has been reported that there is interest from Milan and large clubs.
