Atalanta are set to sit down and discuss the likelihood of signing Luca Cigarini on a permanent basis, after a solid season from the playmaker.
“We have the option to sign him outright,” Nerazzurri director general Pierpaolo Marino told Radio CRC.
“Up until last night we were still fighting for our Serie A safety, so we haven’t done anything yet.
“However, we will soon meet as a club, myself and the Coach, where we will discuss the future of the squad.”
Cigarini has been on loan at the Dea for the last two seasons from Napoli, who signed the midfielder in 2009 for €11 while he was part-owned by Atalanta and Parma.
