The Argentine Pablo Osvaldo could be set to switch Roma for Fiorentina.

With the summer transfer window less than a month away, speculation has begun around several of Serie A’s top talents.

Along with the rumours about the Roma forward, there is also whispers that Palermo are after Cagliari’s Marco Sau.

Despite Osvaldo’s poor disciplinary record (four dismissals in his two seasons at Roma) he has netted 27 times in 53 appearances for the club. These statistics and Osvaldo’s two season spell at Fiorentina have given birth to these rumours. That and pending Fiorentina qualify for the Champions league, the rumour may well become true.

Palermo’s recent revival means that they may yet survive the drop, in what has been a torrid season. They’ll look to improve their prospects for next term by capturing the 25-year-old Marco Sau.

According to Calciomercato.com, Palermo are keen to bolster their attack with the attacker who has already scored 12 goals so far this campaign. Calciomercato further speculates that Roma will replace Osvaldo’s goals with the Palermo pair  Josip Ilicic (midfielder) and Abel Hernandez (forward).

A big factor in the transfer market this summer, will be how these aforementioned teams finish the current seasos.  The Giallorossi are currently in fifth, one point above Udinese. Palermo, however, are above the relegation places only by virtue that their goal difference.
