Former AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has been sacked as coach of Swiss club FC Sion.
Gattuso had only picked up 10 points from 11 games in charge, and the club announced that the former Italy international has been removed from his duties as the coach of the team.
However, Gattuso, who is currently sidelined through injury, will remain as a player.
The club also announced that Gattuso had been replaced by the club’s Under-21 management team.
The 35-year-old left Milan for the Swiss club last summer.
