Inter could land Croatia and Real Madrid star Luka Modric this summer as the Spanish giants look set to make major changes to their squad.

With the former Inter and current coach Jose Mourinho and several players likely to leave Los Blancos in the summer, the Spanish side could bid farewell to Modric as he has failed to live up to his €38 million price tag this season.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com are both reporting that the Croatian playmaker could be one of Inter’s main transfer targets for this summer’s window as they look to improve on their disappointing season.

Modric signed from English side Tottenham last summer, but could join the Nerazzurri as a mentor to compatriot Mateo Kovacic who joined from Dinamo Zagreb in January.

While not a regular starter for Real, the 27-year-old has made 47 appearances this season while contributing 3 goals.
