Internazionale have set their sights on Toulouse midfielder, Etienne Capoue.

The 24-year-old midfielder has, however, also been a target of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG); so the Nerazzurri will thus have a real fight on their hands for the signature of the French defensive midfielder.

The defensive midfielder has become a lynchpin for his side and indeed Toulouse’s most important asset since his coming of age last season. His performances have even won him a place in Didier Deschamps’ French national side, a spot the player would be keen to solidify by moving to a bigger club.

Capoue told Gazzetta dello Sport that he was already a target of PSG over the last winter mercato, but in the end, Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo opted for David Beckham instead. He also adds in the same interview that he would be very keen to move to PSG.

Reports  have it that PSG would be ready to return for the French midfielder, especially in the eventuality that Ancelotti joined Real Madrid and would be planning on bringing Marco Verratti along with him.

With many changes to make, however, Internazionale will be just as desperate to land the Toulouse ace and nip him from under PSG’s noses. Capoue has scored seven goals and provided three assists for Toulouse who sit 10th in Ligue 1.
