Claudio Marchisio pledged his future to the Italian champions Juventus today, after more reports linking the midfielder with Manchester United.

Marchisio who went through the youth system at Juventus and was born and raised in Turin, insists he’s happy at the Old Lady despite heavily being linked with the English champions in recent weeks.

“I don’t see myself far away from Juventus,” he told Mediaset. “It would be absurd to leave now that we have started winning.”

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he commented: “I’m not interested in the rumours, I’m happy at Juventus and I want to renew my contract.”

If the sale was to go through between the two clubs, its suggested that funds would be available for Juventus to bring back former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Ibra is a player who has always won in all the jerseys that he has worn,” Marchisio continued. “If he arrives then we would welcome him with open arms.

“All players who can help us to grow would be accepted. These are situations for the club to consider, but he is certainly a great player.”

Marchisio, who is tied to the Old Lady until 2016, would welcome the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who left Juventus in the summer of 2006 after the Bianconeri were relegated to Serie B.
