Lazio president Claudio Lotito has serious concerns with the current legislation, stating that all Italian clubs need to start owning their own stadiums.

All Italian teams are missing out on the reaping the rewards of owning their own home ground, only Juventus own these in Italy.

Whilst the Biancocelesti have to share their current home ground with rivals Roma, as do AC Milan and Inter at the San Siro.

“Italy has remained cast in the legislation regarding laws to own stadiums,” he told reporters.

“There are too many constraints and I cannot see a way out.”

The club’s president continued to state that if things don’t change in the peninsula, clubs would find it difficult if they are to challenge in Europe.

“We are not talking about shortening the rules, but to put Italian teams in a position where they can challenge in Europe,” he continued.

“We need to eliminate this shameful bureaucracy.”
