maldiniAC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has insisted that he does not want to be a coach at the club.

During a press conference for his clothing line, Sweet Years, which he co-owns with Christian Vieri the former center back addressed the issue, as there had been speculation Maldini would return as assistant to Clarence Seedorf, should Massimiliano Allegri be sacked.

Maldini blatantly stated, “I never want to be a coach”.

Later, the former captain spoke about the possible appointment of former teammate Seedorf taking the job.

“I can’t comment on how Seedorf will be as a coach. We can’t know this unless he’s actually put to the test. What I do know is that ex-footballers are needed in football as they have a lot of valuable knowledge and their contribution is very important”.

Allegri is still currently the coach of Milan but is rumoured to be heading to Roma after their disappointing Coppa Italia performance, missing out on Europe once again.
