Palermo defender Salvatore Aronica has admitted that his side face a tough task this weekend when they meet Juventus, and that their last four matches will be intense encounters.

The Rosanero, who produced a magnificent performance to secure a 0-1 win at Inter last week, go into the game with the current Scudetto holders while still heavily embroiled in a relegation battle at the lower reaches of Serie A, and with Antonio Conte’s team exceptionally close to securing their second successive championship.

Aronica told Calcionews24, “It will be a tough match, they want to celebrate the Scudetto but we need points necessary for salvation. From here on it will be the final four, will be fierce battles.”

Guiseppe Sannino’s team has put together an impressive run of form in recent weeks which has seen them fall victim to only one defeat in their last six games although the threat of demotion to Serie B still looms large as the home stretch of the season is entered into.

With Pescara already relegated, Palermo are fighting to avoid one of the remaining two demotion slots in a contest which will be contested by as many as eight other teams, with even Bologna in 11th not entirely secure in their Serie A status for next season.
