Inter went up against Torino while Palermo faced off with Chievo in a bid to reach the play-off final of this year’s Primavera competition.

In the first of the games, one of the peninsula’s most successful clubs when it comes to youth football, Torino, gave themselves a shot at adding more silverware to their trophy cabinet.

With little over 15 minutes remaining, they secured their place in the final thanks to an Emmanuel Gyasi goal as he kept his cool to finish past Raffaele Di Gennaro.

Joining them in the final will be Chievo who shocked again despite being underdogs, this time seeing off the challenge of Palermo during extra time.

Gianni Manfrin and Victor Da Silva fired the Gialloblu into a comfortable two goal lead  after 17 minutes but by the half hour mark of the first half, the Rosanero had pulled level thanks to Edoardo Goldaniga and Mauro Bollino.

However, the away side introduced super sub Ali Sowe with three minutes of normal time remaining and the Gambian international bagged a brace during extra time to set up an exciting meeting with Toro.
