Fredy Guarin - InterInter’s highly in demand midfielder Fredy Guarin continues to draw interest from teams outside of the peninsula.

Tottenham Hotspur were the team favoured to nab Guarin’s signature as the Colombian played under Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas at Porto. However, free-spending Russian side Anzhi have now thrown their hat into the race to sign Guarin.

Sky Sport Italia reported Inter sporting director Macro Branca met with Anzhi’s management in Milan at the end of the week. Inter are interested in selling the prized midfielder to help fund the wages of Mathieu Flamini, who is available on a free transfer, as well as, former Chelsea man Florent Malouda.

The Nerazzurri have also inquired about Cagliari’s star midfielder Radja Nainggolan as the possible replacement for Guarin. The Belgian midfielder, like Guarin, is highly sought after; but would be used as more of a defensive presence in the middle of the park.
