Algerian striker Ishak Belfoli looks likely to remain at Parma, as the club’s sporting director is not willing to let the club’s prized asset leave this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Inter with Antonio Cassano heading the opposite way, but Parma sporting director Pietro Leonardi has denied those reports.
“My phone is ringing a lot for Belfodil, that is true,” said Leonardi.
“However, if he stays here for another season then my mobile may ring twice as much at the end of the next campaign.
“Belfodil will be available for transfer only if we receive a big enough offer for him. If that doesn’t happen then he will stay as he has another four years on his contract.”
The Algerian, who scored eight goals in 33 league games last season, has four years left in his contract.
