Catania winger Alejandro Gomez is close to completing a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
The 25-year-old is coming off another impressive campaign for the Etnei, where he scored eight goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season.
Sky Sport Italia are reporting that the former San Lorenzo star is a few details away from completing a move to Diego Simeone’s side, while Catania are close to securing the signature of Velez Sarsfield midfielder Federico Freire.
The 22-year-old has been with Velez since 2010 and was part of the side that won the 2011 Clausura and 2012 Inicial.
