Genoa have officially announced that Rino Foschi has stepped down as sporting director of Genoa after only seven months on the job.
The 66-year-old was hired by Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi last season in order to assist him in transfer dealings.
However, those plans have not panned out with Pescara’s Daniele Delli Carri seen as his likely successor.
“Genoa announce that today Rino Foschi has resigned as sporting director,” read a statement posted on Genoa’s official website.
“The company would like to thank Mr Foschi for his professionalism in order to achieve sporting objectives.”
