The agent of Palermo’s Josip Ilicic insists that his client wants to stay in Italy and is fascinated by Fiorentina’s project.
The 25 year old Slovenian has been made available for transfer after Rosanero’s relegation to the Serie B was confirmed.
“Although he is getting offers from abroad, he wants to remain in Italian football,” Amir Ruznic, Ilicic’s representative told Radio Sportiva.
“He’s always said that he is fascinated by the Viola project and the football which is being played by Vincenzo Montella’s side.
“However, the two clubs will firstly have to reach an agreement – only after then can we get involved.
“We just have to wait and see what happens.”
Ilicic, one of Palermo’s prized assets, who scored 11 goals in all competitions last season, has also caught the eye of Roma and Napoli.
