Silvio Pagilari, agent of Inter player Giulio Donati, has confirmed that his client is closing on a move to German club Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old has spent last three years on loan and has yet to make a league appearance for Nerazzurri.
“It is very satisfying, but also proof that something is changing on the football landscape.” Pagilari told SportItalia.
“We need to make more of our young talents instead of always looking abroad. Inter made their evaluations.
“Bayer Leverkusen weren’t the only team interested in Donati, but they were the most persistent.”
The defender was part of the Italian Under-21 squad at the European Championship which lost to Spain in the final.
