Giulio Donati - Italy U21Italian U21 international Giulio Donati’s future is yet to be decided despite rumours stating he has signed for Bayer Leverkusen from Inter.

The Nerazzurri are believed to have accepted a €3 million offer, but the defender has stated that nothing is official yet.

“I’ll evaluate the situation when I get back to Italy,” the 23-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

“At the moment I don’t know anything and my agents have advised me to not talk about transfers. I’d happily stay in Italy, but if there is no space for me there then it is only normal to start looking elsewhere.

“I’d love to return to Inter, but the directors will have to have their say. I’d say yes to the Nerazzurri with my eyes closed.”

The young defender spent last season on loan in Serie B with Grosseto. He was also part of the Italian U21 side that finished runners-up to Spain at the European Championships on Tuesday.
