acquafresca - BolognaLivorno will look to bolster their attacking options for next season by capturing the signature of Bologna forward Robert Acquafresca.

The Tuscan side make their return to Serie A next season after a three year absence having won their two-legged Serie B play-off final with Empoli, but with little top-flight experience amongst his front line, coach Davide Nicola is reportedly keen on adding the 25-year-old to his squad.

Currently the subject of a co-ownership deal between Bologna and Genoa, Corriere dello Sport are reporting that club president Aldo Spinelli will enquire as to Acquafresca’s availability once a decision has been made on his immediate future.

The former Azzurrini forward impressed during his first campaign with Bologna in 2011/12, but having struggled during an injury plagued start to last season, he was sent out on loan to La Liga side Levante, where he found the net three times in 16 appearances.
