Insigne and Gabbiadini - Italy u21Lorenzo Insigne has impressed yet again, this time on the international stage with a late free kick against England which proved to be the winning goal.

The young Napoli attacker impressed many onlookers last season, featuring 43 times and scoring five goals in all competitions.

Many predict he has a promising future and his sublime near post free kick in the opening match of the Under 21 European Championships is only further evidence of the potential he has.

The match winner spoke to Italian channel Rai Sport after the game: “The important thing is to have brought home the victory. I am happy to lead the team to victory.”

The three points his free kick achieved means that Italy are top of their group with Norway and Israel having drawn 2-2 before hand. For Italy, it has been the perfect start.
