Fabrizio Miccoli has announced that he would like to play football for two more years before retiring.
The 33-year-old will be out of contract as it is unlikely he will sign a new contract with recently relegated Palermo.
“I’m looking for a two-year contract,” Miccoli said.
“I want to play for two more seasons and then I’ll quit because I will no longer have the desire or physical condition to continue.”
The Palermo veteran has previously admitted that he would like to play for Lecce, who he supported as a boy.
“A move to Lecce? That will only be possible if they win the play-offs and return to Serie B,” he added.
The Italian international once famously broke down into tears after scoring a goal against his home town team.
Miccoli made 29 appearances for Palermo last season, scoring eight goals as the Rosanero slumped to an 18th place finish.
