Napoli hot on the heels of Valencia defender
Partenopei coach Rafael Benitez has chosen the Frenchman as his first choice to strengthen the Azzurri defence.
According to Sky Sport Italia, there have been new talks between Valencia and Napoli over a deal.
Rami officially joined Valencia in June of 2011 and has made 53 appearances and scored twice for the Chotos.
