Frank Rijkaard Saudi ArabiaFrank Rijkaard’s agent has insisted that Roma have made no offer towards the Dutchman to become coach for next seasons 2013-14 campaign.

Rijkaard is just one of the suggested contenders to replace Aurelio Andreazzoli, after Roma’s first choice Massimiliano Allegri agreed to stay at AC Milan after talks on Sunday.

“There has been no contact,” agent Perry Overeem told AS Roma Radio. “I don’t think he will be joining Roma.”

“Nobody from the capital club has been in touch regarding next season.”

The 50-year-old coach was made available after being dismissed by Saudi Arabia’s nation side in January, after he breached a penalty clause in his contract.

Rijkaard managerial career extends from the Dutch national side, Sparta Rotterdam that he saw relegate, to the highs of winning the Champions League with Barcelona and coaching the Turkish side Galatasaray.
