Gianluca Sansone - SampdoriaWith Sampdoria purchasing the remaining 50 percent of Gianluca Sansone’s contract the midfielder has spoken of his relief that the situation was resolved without private bids being required.

If the sides had not been able to agree a deal for the 26-yar-old midfielder he could have been leaving the Blucerchiati this summer, however, Sansone now intends on helping the developing further with Serie A side.

“It ‘was an awakening sweet but maybe I have yet to accomplish.” Sansone told Sampdoria.it.

“Just as this winter, the deal had gone on a bit for long. And, to be honest, I was afraid that everything would be resolved by envelopes.

“Luckily it did not happen and now I am much more relieved, and happy, logically.

“I am very pleased that the fans are happy with my stay, and I’m flattered for this.

“I was greeted well at large and have always treated me very well.

“I hope in the next season, along with my team-mates, to give them a lot of satisfaction.

“At Sassuolo I experienced an important year, still cultivate many friendships and I’ll always be grateful to those people, that I take this opportunity to thank them.

“Sampdoria I thank you for the trust, since my arrival in Genoa I realised that I’d like to stay.

“We had a fluctuating path, after an exciting start, we were a bit ‘misty, but the budget, personnel and team remains positive.

“Next season on of development? I hope so, it would be the best environment with this shirt.

“Samp is a large club, where you still can work with the peace ideal.

“It sounds like a cliche, but that Sampdoria is really a big family, where you can grow and do their job in the best conditions, I’m proud to be a part of it.”
