Sydney FC confirm Antonis has left for Parma

Terry AntonisSydney FC have confirmed that young Australian Terry Antonis has left the club to join Parma.

The Australian teenager is highly rated by a number of clubs in Europe who have also been chasing him.

Tony Pignata, the CEO of the Australian club announced the 19-year-old’s arrival at the Serie A club: “We have found an agreement with Parma and now Terry [Antonis] can think about building the next chapter of his career.”

Terry Antonis is a central midfielder with one career goal and six yellow cards in his three seasons with Sydney FC. Internationally, he finished as a runner up with his country in the Asian Under 19 Championships of 2010.

Before a FIFA ruling prohibiting the transfer of over seas players under the age of 18, Antonis was signed by Everton when he was just 14 years old. Since the rule came into effect he spent his senior career with Sydney FC.
