Twenty-six indicted in latest round of match fixing investigations

Jean-François GilletTwenty-six players have been charged with sporting fraud in the latest Calcioscommesse investigation.

As part of the Bari trial in the match fixing scandal charges relating to Bari 0-1 Treviso in May 2008 and Salernitana 3-2 Bari from May 2009 were handed out.

Notable names who will face court action include current Torino goalkeeper Jean Francois Gillet, Andrea Masiello and Vitali Kutuzov.

If found guilty they could be banned from football for five years.

All those facing sporting fraud charges are as follows:

Belmonte, Bianco, Bonanni, Bonomi, Caputo, Colombo, De Vezze, D’Angelo, Edusei, Esposito, Fusco, Galasso, Ganci, Gillet, Guberti, Kutuzov, Lanzafame, Andrea Masiello, Parisi, Spadavecchia, Rajcic, Santoni, Santoruvo, Stellini, Strambelli, Pianu.

While those in the dock for failing to report an attempted fix are:

Barreto, Cavalli, Donda, Gazzi, Ladino, Marchese.
