Matej Vydra - WatfordUdinese striker Matej Vydra has been subject to a number of offers this close-season, with the Zebrette most recently turning down €10 million from two unnamed Premier League sides.

Vydra impressed while playing for Watford in the Championship, helping the team to the end of season playoffs, but returned to his parent club from the Hornets at the end of the campaign.

Sky Sports report that two Premier League clubs bid €10m for the Polish goal-getter, but could not confirm which clubs.

It is understood that two Bundesliga clubs had bid to sign the 21-year-old earlier in the summer, but also saw their overtures rejected by Udinese, too.

After scoring twenty-two goals in his debut Championship season, and being named that division’s player of the year, Vydra has stated his desire to play at the top level. The Czech international joined Udinese in 2010 from Czech side Banik Ostrava, but has only made two appearances for the Friuli based side, having been loaned to both Club Brugge and, more successfully Watford.

He played more than forty times as one of Watford’s many loanees  last season, and opened his international account, scoring two goals for the Czech Republic in a 3-0 victory in Armenia in March.
