Luca Caldirola InterBundesliga side Werder Bremen have reportedly made an offer for Inter defender Luca Caldirola.

The 22-year-old spent last season with Serie B side Cesena before being loaned out to Brescia, making a combined 40 appearances for the two sides.

Inter opted to buy out Cesena’s remaining 50 percent of the player’s contract last week and are now ready to consider offers for Caldirola.

The Monza native captained the Azzurrini during the EURO Under-21 championship played in Israel earlier this month where they eventually lost 4-2 to Spain in the finals.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the German outfit are looking to bring in the young defender on loan with an option to buy at a future date.

Caldirola joined Inter as an eight-year-old in 1999 and spent 11 years in the club’s youth academy before making the move to the first team in 2010.

However, he failed to make any appearances during his first season and spent the year on loan with Eredivisie side Vitesse before returning to the Nerazzurri.

He finally made his first team debut during a Champions League group stage match against CSKA Moscow in December 2011.
