It is unlikely that Luca Toni will join coach Fabrizio Ravanelli at French club Ajaccio, as he seems to be on his way to Verona.
The Fiorentina striker’s contract is set to expire at the end of this month, and reports in the French press suggested that the veteran forward would join his fellow countryman.
However Ravanelli has confessed that it is looking more and more unlikely that Toni will be joining him in France.
“Toni? For the moment we will have to wait and see,” he told RMC. “I think that Luca is probably too expensive for us.
“But above all, there is a good chance he is going to Verona.
“We are a small club so we have to choose players that we are 110% sure will join.”
