AC Milan - Didac VilaAC Milan are set to continue the thinning of their squad by offloading defender Didac Vila to Spanish side Real Betis.

Vila, 24, moved to San Siro in 2011 from Espanyol for a reported £3.5 million fee, but only made one Serie A appearance before moving back to Espanyol on loan.

With Adriano Galliani looking to cut Milan’s squad size to a desirable number of 26, Vila is the latest player to be linked with a move away from the club.

Real Betis is the defender’s most likely destination, with a permanent transfer now being pursued by Milan. Both sides are yet to reach an agreement.

Defender Bartosz Salamon and goalkeeper Edoardo Pazzagli have already completed moves to Sampdoria and Ascoli respectively as Galliani continues thin the Rossoneri squad.
