AC Milan have ominous news as defender Daniele Bonera is out for up to three months after fracturing his right knee-cap, while Robinho could also potentially be out for a while.
Both Rossoneri players picked up their injuries in the International Champions Cup opener against Valencia.
Bonera underwent tests and visited specialist professor Herbert Schonhuber, who advised against surgery.
Milan confirmed on their official website that Bonera will be out of action for between 70 and 90 days, if they are no further complications.
The Diavolo also announced that Robinho suffered an upper left thigh strain and will undergo further tests in two weeks for a complete definition of the situation.
The Brazilian forward is now in serious doubt for the club’s critical Champions League playoff which is in two weeks.
