Atalanta have stated that they are not looking to sell off their prized players this summer despite heavy interest in German Denis, Maxi Moralez and Andrea Consigli.
Club chief Antonio Percassi insists that the club are intent on keeping the core of the squad intact in hopes of producing another successful Serie A campaign.
“Striker German Denis is not for sale. He is a reference point for our team,” he stated.
“Goalkeeper Andrea Consigli and attacking midfielder Maxi Moralez will also stay.”
The Bergamo based club will begun the season without a point deduction, and Percassi believes that will help them prepare for the season in a much calmer fashion.
“It is going to be a tough season, however, we have the right amount of adrenalin and we are calmer than in the past few seasons as we won’t start the year with a point penalty.”
