Esteban Alvarado - Costa RicaCurrent AZ Alkmaar number one Esteban Alvarado has confirmed that Serie A side Udinese have made an approach for him along with La Liga side Real Betis.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper indicated that there had been interest in the past to take him from the Eredivisie club but until any firm offers are received he will continue to work hard with his current side.

“As for my [future] I know that there has been talk of Udinese and Real Betis,” Alvarado told TottoUdinese.

“In England I cannot go due to the regulations on foreigners, but the opportunity to go to another club exists.

“It has presented itself in the past and we will see if it will return in the future but will also depend on my performance.”

With current Zebrette goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic suffering a serious shoulder injury the Bianconeri have been forced to identify potential replacements and the Coasta Rica international could well be that man.

Last season Alvarado was a virtual ever-present for the Eredivisie side and helped the club win the Dutch Cup defeating PSV Eindhoven 2-1 in the final.
