Speaking at the Viola pre-season training base in Moena the 33-year-old indicated that his initial wish to leave Florence was their disappointing finish to the season and some controversial refereeing decisions helped deny they a Champions League place.
The Chile international insisted that the club will challenge for trophies next season, ‘unless something else happens’.
“I had a heeling moment at the end of the season, as it was over, but Florence and Fiorentina were always in my thoughts.” Pizarro told Tuttomercatoweb.
“It was very bad it finished [like it did] for the season.
“I’m sorry about what happened, but I’m not going away.
“What went wrong at the end of the season? Nothing, and just that like all the fans I was upset by what happened. I was very disappointed.
“We’ll challenge for trophies, unless something else happens.”
