Danish international wanted by Livorno

Jakob PoulsenNewly promoted Serie A club Livorno are looking to add experience to their squad by acquiring Danish international Jakob Poulsen.

According to reports by Mercato365, the 30-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Ligue 1 side Monaco is on the Amaranto’s transfer short-list, although no official contact has been made between the two clubs, Poulsen is currently under contract at Monaco until June 2015.

Poulsen helped Monaco secure promotion to Ligue 1 by making a total of 20 appearances and scoring once for the side during the 2012-2013 season, he has also earned 28 caps for his country, two of these caps were obtained during  Euro 2012

Livorno’s transfer activity has so far consisted of loan signings with Davide Nicola’s side signing Fiorentina’s Cristiano Piccini and Inter duo Francesco Bardi and Marco Benassi.
