El Shaarawy delighted to break goal drought

Stephan El Shaarawy was happy to finally find the back of the net , even if it was in a penalty shootout.

Il Faraone has suffered a dip in form having scored only once in 2013, and there were doubts whether he would start against Uruguay after Prandelli questioned his character and fitness levels.

The AC Milan striker ,though, stepped up and converted a penalty against Uruguay in the Confederations Cup third place playoff.

“Finally… even if it was in a penalty shoot-out…. at least it went in!” the forward wrote on Twitter.
