Former Inter youngster excited by German challenge

Caldirola - Werder BremenAfter joining Bundesliga club Werder Bremen former Inter defender Luca Caldirola has reiterated his desire to succeed in Germany and stated that he will give everything he has on the pitch for the team.

Speaking at his unveiling on Wednesday the 22-year-old centre-back also expressed a long-term interest in the Bundesliga and described his new employers as one of the top sides in Germany.

“Werder Bremen are a top club, I’ve always been fascinated by playing in the Bundesliga.”Caldirola told the press.

“I will give everything for this shirt”

The former Inter man played a key role captaining the Italian Under-21 side reached the final of the European Under-21 Championship final this summer, although he was unable to prevent them losing 4-2 to an impressive Spanish side.

However, Caldirola failed to make a single senior appearance in Serie A for the Nerazzurri, spending several spells out on loan at Brescia and Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
