Bovo - Genoa

Despite an agreement between Torino and Genoa for defender Cesare Bovo the players’ agent has confirmed that a deal is still to be completed.

The 30-year-olds agent Franco Zavaglia met with Torino officials last Wednesday to continue negotiations, however a deal is yet to be announced officially.

“Today we have reached an agreement,” Zavaglia told Sportitalia.

“Tomorrow we will meet Torino but although there is the agreement we cannot say that it is done.”

Zavaglia did not expand on what was keeping the deal from going through but with clubs in agreement the players’ personal terms are one of the few aspects to be resolved.

Appearing just 13 times in Serie A last season and looks surplus to requirements at the Luigi Ferraris despite Fabio Liverani taking over as coach during the summer.

If a deal is concluded it will be Bovo’s second spell with the Turin club after spending six months on loan at the Granata making seven league appearances and scoring once.
