Genoa goalkeeper on the verge of Turkey move

Genoa goalkeeper Sébastien Frey is close to completing a move to Turkey based club Bursaspor.

The Frenchman made 36 appearances for the Grifone throughout the 2012-13 season and a move away would end a two year stay in the port city.

The former Fiorentina man is in the process of finalising a three deal with the Turkish side who last featured in the Champions League in the 2010-11 season.

Genoa have also recalled Mattia Perin to contend for the starting spot for the upcoming campaign.

With the 33-year-old exiting the Italian football scene, it will mark the first time since 1998 that Frey has played outside the peninsula.
