Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has announced that the signing of Mario Santana from Napoli will be completed on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old spent last season on loan at Torino, but he is set to leave the Partenopei once again as the Grifone are close to completing his signing.
“For Santana a deal will be wrapped up by tonight or tomorrow,” Preziosi told Primocanalesport on Tuesday.
“Silvestre? That could be an interesting name that we will look into.”
Preziosi also commented on the sale of goalkeeper Sebastien Frey to Bursaspor, revealing that a new shot stopper will be brought to play alongside starlet Mattia Perin.
“Substitute for Frey? He only signed with Bursaspor yesterday. We will sign an experienced goalkepper to play alongside Perin.”
