Giuseppe Rossi FiorentinaFiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi has welcomed the signing of Mario Gomez by the Viola as  the Italian forward stated his delight at the new arrival.

The transfer was confirmed on Monday and will see the Viola pay an initial €16 million to the Bavarian outfit, with a further €4m due in installments over the next four years.

The former Stuttgart striker will now link up with Rossi, who has only made one appearance for the Viola since joining in January due to his recovery from a serious knee injury.

“If the news is true, I can only be happy,” Rossi concisely told reporters.

The Viola have had a busy transfer window to date as they have already netted the signatures of Massimo Ambrosini and Joaquín.

The best transfers in the Serie A for the Viola, last season they were one of the best teams, last season they needed a striker, now they have 2 brilliant strikers, they now need excellent goalkeeper, next season they will compete on the scedutto.
