Newly-promoted Serie A side Hellas Verona are waiting for striker Daniele Cacia to renew his contract with the Gialloblu before the start of the season.
The Gialloblu won promotion from Serie B last season and the club have been active in the transfer market this summer, trying to build a competitive side for coach Andrea Mandorlini.
Although Verona have signed players such as Luca Toni and Bosko Jankovic, the Gialloblu hope to hold onto Cacia, who was the leading goalscorer last season in Serie B.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cacia wants to renew his contract but he doesn’t want any adjustments to be made to it.
The 29-year-old centre-forward joined from Lecce in August 2012 and played in 39 matches in Serie B last season, scoring 24 goals.
